What We Fund

Money shouldn't get in the way of your learning. We can give one-off grants to people under 25 who live or study in Croydon and need help with education-related costs.

Students studying together in a library

What you can apply for

Books & Stationery

Books, stationery or a laptop you need for school, college or uni.

School or College Uniform

Help paying for your school or college uniform.

Travel

Getting to and from school or college, or travelling abroad to study.

Educational Trips

Trips and visits linked to the course you're studying.

Music

Music lessons, or an instrument to learn on.

Sport & Activities

Sports, activities and training - or the kit and equipment you need for them.

Scholarships & Bursaries

Help to carry on with your education, through a scholarship or bursary.

Tools & Equipment

Tools and equipment you need for your education or training.

Other Opportunities

Other educational or developmental opportunities. If it helps you learn or grow, it's worth asking.

Grants are one-off and for one specific thing, like a trip, a laptop or a uniform. They're grants, not loans, so you don't pay them back.

Good to know: you don't automatically get a grant just because you meet the age and location rules. Every application is looked at individually, and the Trustees decide whether to give a grant and how much.

For schools & youth groups

Schools and local organisations working with young people in Croydon, including youth groups like Scouts and Guides, can apply too.
